DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION OF SPORTS EVENTS

The Department of "Management and Organization of Sports events" was founded in 2017 and initially the department held classes in the disciplines of "Management of Physical Culture and Sports", "Tax and Taxation", "Economic Theory", "Sports Management", "Sports Marketing", "Economics of Sports", "Financial Management", "Project financing in sports".

In 2008, the department opened a master's degree in "Management of Physical Culture and Sports". From this period to the present, more than 100 specialists who have graduated from this specialty carry out their activities in various sports organizations of our republic. In 2011, the Department of Economics and Management was reorganized into the Department of Sports Management and Tourism. By 2014, the department was named "Sports Management and Economics". During these years, the activities of the department were headed by Gulomov Z. T., Yadgarov A. A., Yuldashev F., Balaeva Y. S. and Abdiev N. A..

From 2016 to the present, the department is headed by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Ziyadullaev K. Sh. In addition, in accordance with Annex No. 25 to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 20, 2017 No. PP-2909 "On measures for the further development of the higher education system" in order to ensure the implementation of the "Development Program of the Uzbek State Institute of Physical Culture for the period 2017-2021" in the 2018-2019 academic year, the direction "Management of physical culture" was opened in the 2019-2020 academic year, bachelor's degree courses "Marketing (Sports)" were opened, and in the 2023-2024 academic year, directions for master's degree sports activities were opened: Chess.

In 2017, a master's student in the specialty 5A610502 - "Management of physical culture and sports" Erkinov Sh. received a Presidential scholarship under the guidance of K.Sh. Ziyadullaev in 2021-2022, a student of the MN 01-18 group of the direction of "Management" Mirzhamolova S. 2022-2023 academic year, a student of the MR 01-19 group in the direction of "Marketing" Eshonkulov B became the owners of the Ibn Sina Scholarship.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the specialty of the department "Organization of sports events" was attached to the Department of "Sports Management and Economics", and the name of the department was changed to "Management and organization of sports events".

Currently, 51 teaching staff work at the department, of which 36 professors work mainly full-time, and 11 internal and 4 external employees work part–time at the department.
